結果的に多くの運動は失敗に終わったものの、SNSが持つ影響力の証明になった。

失敗: 誕生した民主政権は、適切な経済運営を行うことができず、国民は失望した。

中国のインターネット規制

金盾とよばれるプロジェクトでグレート・ファイアウォールが維持されている。

中国のインターネット通信はすべて検閲されている。
利用可能なインターネットサービスも制限されている。
民主主義に対する警戒と考えることができる。

ロシアのインターネット規制

ロシアのウクライナ侵攻は民主主義の脅威による。
インターネット規制を行い、
フェイスブックやツイッターの利用を制限した。

市民のVPN利用が急増した。

フェイクニュース、偏った情報

例えばウクライナ侵攻ではフェイクニュースによる情報操作が試みられている。

また、利用するサイトによって、あるいはパーソナライズされた検索結果によって、
偏った情報による政治思考の形成が問題。

I think that the Internet promotes democracy.
I have two reasons to support my opinion.

Firstly, for democracy to be successful, it requires the interest and attention of the people to the politics.
The Internet has made it easier for people to access political information, and social media has made it possible to communicate even across borders, which has led to more political participation of people including younger generation.

Secondly, the Internet is a threat to non-democratic countries.
For example, the Arab Spring was a democratic movement in Arab countries that began in 2010, and during the movement, it was proved that social media and the Internet have significant influence.
In response, China and Russia have imposed censorship on the Internet communications and restrictions on the availability of the Internet services.

In conclusion, I am of the opinion that the Internet promotes democracy.
